Aaron Hernandez Arrest Warrant Coming
Looks like I’m going to steer clear of picking Aaron Hernandez in my fantasy draft this year.
Sources are telling ABC News that an expected arrest warrant is coming for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez for obstruction of justice in a murder case that has many scratching their heads. I’m not saying that I’m a connoisseur of hiding evidence, but this masterpiece of destruction that Hernandez calls clean-up sounds like an episode of The Three Stooges.
There’s a reason this guy decided to forgo his senior year at the University of Florida and jump straight into the 2010 draft.
If you’re wondering what a homicide cover-up looks like, then take a look at the facts below and pick up a few “what not to do” tips along the way:
- Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player, was found shot in the back of the head Monday in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough. Authorities have ruled it as a homicide.
- Lloyd’s body was discovered in a clearing near John Dietsch Boulevard, not far from a vehicle that had been rented by Hernandez.
- When asked to turn over evidence to the police, Hernandez handed his cell phone over in pieces and had deliberately smashed his home security system.
- Hernandez hired a team of house cleaners on Monday to scrub down his house.
All this comes after surveillance footage showed Hernandez with Odin Lloyd and two other people hours before Lloyd was killed earlier this week, sources confirmed to ABC News late Thursday.
I think we can probably tell the CSI team to head home, this one’s pretty much wrapped up, folks. We’ll keep you updated on when the arrest warrant is served, and it’s not looking too great for the tight end out of New England. I’m going to miss having a guy who ran for 483 yard and 5 touchdowns last season alone on my fantasy team. But then again, so is Tom Brady.
